Honoring the Sacrifice

With great pride, Rupali recognized the bravery of Sahibzada Zorawar Singh and Sahibzada Fateh Singh, the younger sons of Guru Gobind Singh. She emphasized that their sacrifice is not just a part of history but a matter of national pride.

Rupali wrote on her X (formerly known as Twitter) handle, “On #VeerBalDiwas, my heart bows in pride and emotion to Sahibzada Zorawar Singh Ji and Sahibzada Fateh Singh Ji. At an age meant for innocence, they showed courage beyond measure and faith unshaken. Their sacrifice is not just history, It is our eternal pride 🙏.”

Every year on December 26, Veer Bal Diwas is celebrated to honor the extraordinary courage and sacrifice of Sahibzada Zorawar Singh and Sahibzada Fateh Singh. These two young sons of Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Sikh Guru, were captured by Mughal forces and bricked alive for their unwavering faith.

In another update, Rupali dedicated her recent win for her hit show “Anupamaa” to the late veteran actor and her co-star Satish Shah. Describing him as her rockstar, she reflected on the strong bond and mutual respect they shared both on and off screen.

On Instagram, Rupali expressed, “Gratitude Gratitude Gratitude This one is for the legend, my rockstar … my Satish Kaka #satishshah … This beautiful year end special signifies (sic).”

Rupali and Satish Shah portrayed the beloved on-screen father-in-law and daughter-in-law in the cult classic “Sarabhai vs Sarabhai.” Their characters, Monisha and Indravadan Sarabhai, remain memorable to audiences even years after the show concluded.

Satish Shah passed away on October 25 this year at the age of 74.
