Actress Shilpa Shinde is back as Angoori Bhabhi in the new season of “Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai 2.0.” In a recent conversation, she expressed that she sees no reason to compare herself with the former Angoori Bhabhi, Shubhangi Atre.
Shilpa stated that such comparisons do not bother her. “I don’t see any comparison at all. I am sorry, but I can’t compare myself with anyone,” she remarked.
She emphasized her connection to the character, saying, “Bhabi ji was always Shilpa Shinde, and that is why I am here after ten years. This is not overconfidence; this is my hard work. I have made my own place, and I have proved myself.”
Discussing her return to the role, Shilpa reflected on whether it presented a challenge after a decade. She shared her perspective: “There is no big challenge in this. When I returned to the show, it felt like I was starting from where I had left off. So, there wasn’t any particular challenge. The only challenge is that people should see me as this character and not look for Shilpa or Shinde in it. That, for me, is the real challenge.”
On the story and comedy aspects, she noted, “I feel it’s important to make a place in people’s hearts because a lot of things change. There is a slight change in the story, but the fun element will still feel like the streets of Kanpur, even within the haveli. So I think it will be even more enjoyable.”
For those who may not know, Shilpa Shinde will be reprising her role as Angoori Bhabhi in “Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai 2.0.” She originally featured in the series in 2016 before being replaced by Shubhangi Atre.
