Anupam Kher shares memories of first meeting Kareena Kapoor on a flight, reminiscing about her debut.

Veteran actor Anupam Kher recently recalled his first encounter with actress Kareena Kapoor when they unexpectedly crossed paths during a flight.

Nostalgic Memories

Sharing a couple of photos from their surprise meeting, Kher reminisced about their initial interaction back in 2000 on the set of her debut film “Refugee.” He described Kareena as a beautiful and confident girl determined to make her mark in the industry.

Taking to his official Instagram, Kher shared, “IN FLIGHT WITH KAREENA: First time I met #Bebo was on the sets of JP Dutta’s #Refugee! Year was 2000! And it was her debut film. She was stunningly beautiful, confident yet vulnerable, restless to make it big (which she did) and amazingly real as a person! (sic).”

A Celebration of Growth

Over the years, Kher has witnessed Kareena evolve into an elegant actress who remains eager for challenging roles, even after 25 years in Bollywood.

“Yesterday, we were on the same flight! We chatted about lots of things. 25 years later, I was delightfully happy to find that she is hungry for great roles, remains a beautiful person who still is real and loves conversations,” Kher remarked.

He also noted that Kareena still looks the same after all these years.

A Heartfelt Note

In his heartfelt social media message, he added, “Thank you dearest #Kareena for your warmth and appreciation! Yes! I do look the same in all these years. May God keep you and your family happy and healthy! Love and prayers always. #Diva Actor @kareenakapoorkhan.”

Kher and Kareena, apart from their collaboration in “Refugee,” also worked together in the 2014 film “The Shaukeens,” which featured Annu Kapoor, Piyush Mishra, Lisa Haydon, and Akshay Kumar.
