The Army pairing of Lakshita Bishnoi and Sharvan Kumar delivered an impressive performance in the 10m Air Pistol Mixed Team gold medal match, securing the gold medal at the 68th National Shooting Championship Competitions (Shotgun) taking place at the Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range. Lakshita and Sharvan triumphed over Haryana’s Suruchi Singh and Samrat Rana, finishing the match with a score of 16–10.
Lakshita (290-12x) and Sharvan (292-9x) showcased their skills by qualifying at the top with a total score of 582-21x for the gold medal match. They were followed by Haryana, which secured second place with 582-14x, thanks to Suruchi Singh’s performance of 293-8x and Samrat Rana’s 289-6x, advancing on inner-10 count. Rajasthan took third with a score of 576-21x, led by Anjali Shekhawat (288-11x) and Amit Sharma (288-10x), while Railways finished fourth, also scoring 576-20x, aided by Sakshi Anil Suryavanshi (289-8x) and Saurabh Chaudhary (287-12x).
In the Senior Mixed Team bronze medal match, Rajasthan earned the bronze medal as Anjali Shekhawat and Amit Sharma defeated Railways’ Sakshi Anil Suryavanshi and Saurabh Chaudhary 17–13.
In the Junior Mixed Team event, Karnataka’s Jonathan Gavin Antony and Avanthika Madhu clinched the gold medal, achieving a decisive 17–11 victory over Haryana’s Kapil Bainsla and Palak Gulia in the final. The Karnataka pair controlled the match from the outset, translating their qualification consistency into a gold medal. Madhya Pradesh secured the bronze, with Aaradhya Mishra and Yugpratap Singh Rathore winning 16–2 against Uttarakhand’s Abhinav Deshwal and Yashsavi Joshi.
Earlier in the junior qualification round, Haryana topped the standings for the gold medal match with a score of 580-21x, driven by Palak Gulia (292-10x) and Kapil Bainsla (288-11x). Karnataka was close behind with 580-16x, thanks to Jonathan Gavin Antony (292-8x) and Avanthika Madhu (288-8x). Uttarakhand marked third place with a score of 579-21x, led by Abhinav Deshwal (290-10x) and Yashsavi Joshi (289-11x), while Madhya Pradesh rounded out the top four with 574-13x, with contributions from Yugpratap Singh Rathore (288-9x) and Aaradhya Mishra (286-4x).
In the youth category, Madhya Pradesh’s Aaradhya Mishra and Yugpratap Singh Rathore capped a strong performance by winning the gold medal with a decisive 16–8 victory over Karnataka’s Gamberya V Gowda and Darren K Dawn. The bronze medal was awarded to the Army, as Himanshi Jangra and Pawan Mandiwal held their nerve in the closing stages to defeat Uttar Pradesh’s Chirag Sharma and Urva Chaudhary 16–12.
