About “120 Bahadur”

“120 Bahadur” pays tribute to real-life heroes, drawing inspiration from the Battle of Rezang La in 1962, a significant moment in Indian military history where 120 soldiers of Charlie Company held their ground against over 3,000 Chinese troops.

The film narrates the heroic saga of 120 Indian soldiers from the 13 Kumaon Regiment who, during the legendary Battle of Rezang La, showcased extraordinary bravery against overwhelming odds. Farhan Akhtar portrays Major Shaitan Singh Bhati, PVC, leading his men in this pivotal episode of Indian military history.

The battle itself, regarded as one of the major events of the Sino-Indian War, took place on November 18, 1962. The soldiers of Charlie Company, primarily composed of Ahirs, defended their position and inflicted over 1,300 casualties on the Chinese Army.

Directed by Razneesh ‘Razy’ Ghai and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar, and Amit Chandrra, “120 Bahadur” is set to hit cinemas on November 21, 2025.

Anupam Kher’s Upcoming Film

On another note, Anupam Kher’s latest project is “Tanvi The Great.” This film tells the story of Tanvi Raina, a 21-year-old woman on the autism spectrum, living with her mother, Vidya, and her grandfather, Colonel Pratap Raina.

Inspired by her late father, Captain Samar Raina, who was an Indian Army officer with dreams of saluting the flag at Siachen Glacier, Tanvi is determined to honor his legacy by pursuing a military career herself.
