Riyaa Senn, celebrated for her performances in films like Style, Jhankaar Beats, and Apna Sapna Money Money, recently shared an emotional tribute to her late father, Bharat Dev Varma. She revealed that not a single day passes without her reminiscing about him.
Taking to Instagram, Riyaa posted a nostalgic collection of photographs featuring her father, veteran actress Moon Moon Sen, and her sister, Raima Sen. The images capture precious moments from her parents’ wedding to cherished family vacations.
“Daddy, we miss you more than words can ever express. Not a day goes by without reliving our memories and seeing your smile in our minds,” Riyaa wrote, expressing her heartfelt emotions. She continued, “Thank you for being our dad and for shaping us into who we are today. We love you more than anything. Life will never be the same without you, even though love is immortal.”
Belonging to a royal lineage, Bharat Dev Varma was part of the royal family of Tripura. Riyaa ventured into acting at the tender age of five, portraying her mother’s daughter on screen for the first time. In 1991, she took on her first role as a child actress in the film Vishkanya. Her breakout success came with the 2001 comedy Style, directed by N. Chandra. Riyaa gained recognition as a model when she featured in Falguni Pathak’s music video Yaad Piya Ki Aane Lagi at the age of seventeen in 1998.
Most recently, Riyaa made a cameo appearance in the teen romantic comedy Nadaaniyan, directed by Shauna Gautam. The film stars Ibrahim Ali Khan and Khushi Kapoor, alongside Mahima Chaudhry, Suniel Shetty, Dia Mirza, and Jugal Hansraj. The plot revolves around a privileged South Delhi school girl who hires a boyfriend to take revenge on her family and classmates.
