The Grammy Award-winning singer Enrique Iglesias is making his much-anticipated return to India after 13 long years, ahead of his concert in Mumbai.
On Tuesday, the Spanish singer was spotted at Mumbai Airport dressed in a grey T-shirt, matching jogger-style trousers, a grey cap, and black sunglasses.
Concert Details
Iglesias is set to perform in the Maximum City on October 30 at the MMRDA Grounds in Bandra Kurla Complex. Given the rapid sell-out of tickets for the October 30 concert, the organisers have added an additional show on October 29 to accommodate the high demand.
A Long-Awaited Return
Iglesias first visited India in 2004 and returned in 2012. In an exclusive conversation, he shared that returning to India has always been a priority for him.
“There was no hiatus; it just takes time between albums and touring to make it back over there. But it has always been a priority to come back, and I could not be more thrilled,” he noted.
India’s Musical Impact
Iglesias emphasized India’s significant role in the global music scene, stating, “It was bound to happen, and I couldn’t be happier. India has such amazing fans who show great respect and appreciation for music. The energy during my performances in India is extraordinary.”
Potential Collaborations
During the conversation, Iglesias hinted at the possibility of collaborating with Indian artists. When asked about incorporating Indian sounds into his music or teaming up with local talent, he replied, “I am always open to ideas, and you never know—it could already be in the making.”
