Fun-filled Moments on Set
A new promo released by the makers shows the trio enjoying a lively time on set. During a segment, Farhan took over the host’s chair and initiated a quiz round with Big B and Javed Akhtar seated on the hotseat.
Farhan posed the question, “A quality that you both want to steal from each other?” Javed replied, “The quality I have seen in him, I have not found in any other person in the film industry.”
Later, Farhan asked, “Who is more popular among ladies?” to which his father humorously responded, “What kind of question is this?” Big B interjected, “No, no, let me tell you,” but Javed, with his characteristic wit, interrupted, “Don’t tell them everything,” prompting laughter from Big B.
Throwback to ‘Lakshya’
In another segment, Amitabh Bachchan reminisced about his first experience working with Farhan Akhtar on the film ‘Lakshya’. Big B recounted, “We have also done a film, that film was ‘Lakshya’. What was my experience of working with him? He came to our room at night and said, ‘Amit uncle, are you having some problem?’ For the first time, I felt that I am a novice. And this master is sitting and telling me, look son, I will tell you how to act. You should do this.”
Legacy of Collaboration
Amitabh shares a long-standing connection with Javed Akhtar. The legendary screenwriter, along with his partner Salim Khan, revolutionized commercial Hindi cinema in the 1970s, crafting a series of blockbusters that established Big B as the iconic ‘angry young man’ and one of India’s greatest stars.
It was the Salim-Javed duo that propelled Big B’s career, effectively reshaping the Bollywood landscape and ushering in his stardom by dethroning Rajesh Khanna during that era.
