As Atlee’s directorial debut “Raja Rani” celebrated its 12th anniversary, the filmmaker shared a heartfelt message across social media to commemorate the milestone.
Celebrating 12 Years of “Raja Rani”
Atlee posted a series of charming pictures featuring his wife, Priya, against a captivating backdrop on his official Instagram account.
He expressed gratitude towards everyone involved in the making of “Raja Rani,” as well as those who cherish the film. He wrote: “12 years of Raja Rani God is so kind Thank you #Mahe Anna, @a.r.murugadoss sir #shanmugam sir, @foxstarstudios @aryaoffl baby, @nayanthara darling, @nazriyafahadh papa, @actorjai darling, @santa_santhanam na, @sathyan na, #sathyaraj sir and my team @george_dop, @livingstonruben @muthurajthangavel na, and the genius @gvprakash. To mark the special occasion, Atlee returned to the original filming location with Priya, stating, “As a memory took my Rani @priyaatlee to same location where I started the film ❤️❤️.”
Nayanthara, the leading lady of the drama, reposted Atlee’s message on her Instagram Stories, expressing her pride: “So proud of u Dear @atlee47,” accompanied by red hearts and hugs emojis.
About “Raja Rani”
Released on 27 September 2013, this Tamil romantic comedy featured Arya as John, Jai as Surya Muthuraman, Nayanthara as Regina, Nazriya Nazim as Keerthana John, and Santhanam as Sarathy.
The film centers around John and Regina, a couple who are compelled into marriage despite frequent disagreements. Their relationship is tested by various challenges until a sudden tragedy leads to unexpected changes in their lives.
