With Navratri 2025 just around the corner, the excitement is palpable.

One track that is already capturing attention is “Julmi Sawariya.” This vibrant song features actor Divyenndu, widely recognized for his impactful performance in Mirzapur. Discussing his involvement in the song, Divyenndu, a Gujarati himself, expressed, “This song came as a pleasant surprise to me. When I heard it for the first time, I felt that this is something that should definitely be done.”

He continued, “Amit Trivedi has composed this song beautifully, and Bhoomi Trivedi has lent her vocals for the female parts. When I heard the song, it struck me that this is a song around Garba, and the Garba vibes are making it extremely exciting! I just felt that I should definitely do it. It is something new that I haven’t done before, and I knew it would be fun. Garba is celebrated with full pomp in Mumbai, and in Gujarat, the grandeur is beyond imagination.”

On the visual aspects, Divyenndu remarked, “It’s beautifully picturised; it looks like a film song. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The thing that excites me the most is experimenting with new things.” He emphasized the song’s universal appeal, highlighting the mischief and romance typical of Garba dances. “So, I am sure it will appeal to many people.”

Sharing the screen with Divyenndu is Charmee Zaveri, one of Bollywood’s rising stars who recently won hearts with her viral hit “Mashooqa.”

“Julmi Sawariya” is produced by Vibha Films and Hitendra Kapopara, co-produced by Piyush Jain, and released under the Saregama label. Directed and choreographed by Vijay Ganguly, the song features the captivating chemistry between Divyenndu and Charmee Zaveri, along with 100 dancers, and is penned by lyricist Kumaar.
