Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, who is set to appear in the upcoming film ‘Galwan’, has made a stylish return to Mumbai. On Thursday, he was spotted exiting Terminal 2 of the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, sporting a fresh and clean-shaven look.
The actor’s new appearance marks a departure from his previous look in ‘Galwan’, where he sported a moustache. On this occasion, he wore washed denims paired with a black t-shirt, completing his ensemble with a black jacket and a cap.
In ‘Galwan’, Salman’s character once again features a moustache, reminiscent of his iconic portrayal of the grey cop Chulbul Pandey from the ‘Dabangg’ franchise. Currently, he is balancing the shooting for ‘Bigg Boss 19’ alongside the film.
Salman recently shared a behind-the-scenes image on Instagram from the film set, showcasing himself peeking through a clapperboard. The 86th scene highlights a close-up shot of the actor during his first take. Dressed in combat fatigues, he wore a jacket adorned with insignia and layers of the old Personal Camouflage Disruptive Pattern Material (PC DPM), reflecting the character’s alignment with the events of the Galwan stand-off that occurred during 2020-2021.
It’s noteworthy that the PC DPM was replaced by the New Battle Dress Uniform (NBDU) of the INCAM (Indian National Camouflage), which was unveiled on January 15, 2022, at the 74th Army Day Parade in New Delhi. The new camouflage pattern was a collaborative design effort with NIFT.
In the shared image, a wound is also visible on the actor’s face, with the caption reading “#BattleOfGalwan”. The film portrays the tension that arose during the stand-off between India and China on June 15, 2020, amidst the first wave of the Covid-19 pandemic in India.
