Arijit Singh, with countless hit songs to his credit, recently reunited with A.R. Malayalam actor Dileep has indicated his intention to initiate fresh legal action following his acquittal by the trial court in the high-profile 2017 actress assault case. This comes as the Kerala government announced its decision to challenge the verdict in the High Court.

Dileep’s Reaction to the Verdict

In a strong response to the judgment, Dileep expressed his desire for a probe into what he described as a “conspiracy” behind his implication in the case. He alleged that the investigation team misled even the Chief Minister and claimed he was made a scapegoat by certain officials for their personal gains. Dileep stated that further legal steps would be taken once he receives a copy of the court verdict.

Dileep made a controversial statement alleging that the conspiracy to implicate him was initiated by his former wife, actor Manju Warrier. He referenced her speech at the AMMA (Association of Malayalam Movie Artists) gathering at Durbar Hall Ground, where she called for the exposure of the conspiracy behind the actress’s attack. Dileep claimed that it was right after this speech that he was named an accused in the case. Manju Warrier has not yet responded to these allegations.

Sandhya, who supervised the investigation, claiming she led the conspiracy.
