Dressed in her beautiful Bengali saree, Tanishaa highlighted its significance. “Today, on Ashtami, I am wearing a typical Bengali saree. I wear a lot of sarees, and every year my mom buys sarees for me. This time I am wearing a very traditional Bengali attire. I have also worn my grandmother’s garland in my hairdo to keep her close to me,” she explained.

Family Legacy in Durga Puja

Reflecting on her family’s longstanding connection to the Durga Puja, she said, “My grandmother started the puja, and today, just look at it; it is so big.” She continued, “Our family has been doing this for many years, and look how big it has become. Today, on the occasion of Ashtami, a lot of people have come to seek blessings and also for the Ashtami bhog.”

She also remarked that the film industry, which attends the Durga Puja, feels like an extended family. “The entire film industry is also a part of the Durga Puja – celebrities, stars, and everybody who visits the Durga Puja. It is one big family occasion.”

Remembering Debu Kaka

For those unfamiliar, Debu Kaka, also known as Deb Mukherjee, was a renowned filmmaker and the brother of Kajol and Rani Mukerji’s father. He was the father of director Aryan Mukherjee and passed away on March 14 at the age of 83.

A few days prior, Randeep Hooda paid tribute to the brave soldiers of the Battle of Saragarhi. He remarked, “A dream I missed sharing with the world!! The #BattleOfSaragarhi fought by 21 SIKH soldiers under Hav Ishar Singh of 4 SIKH (then XXXVI SIKH) in September 1897, remains a legendary saga of courage and sacrifice.”

He highlighted the soldiers’ bravery in defending the Saragarhi post at 6,000 feet in the NWF Province (now in Pakistan), where they stood against thousands of attackers. On Thursday, the team behind Venkat Kalyan and Abhishek Jaiswal’s bilingual supernatural thriller released the primary track from the drama titled “Soul Of Jatadhara.”

The ‘Soul Of Jatadhara’ immerses audiences in the film’s world and spirit, beginning with Om Namah Shivaya chants that evoke divinity. Composed and scored by Rajeev Raj, this track perfectly balances raw energy with spiritual depth, reflecting the film’s essence.

The movie features a talented ensemble, including Sudheer Babu, Sonakshi Sinha, Divya Khossla, Shilpa Shirodkar, Indira Krishna, and Ravi Prakash, among others.

Release Details

“Jatadhara” is set to hit theaters on November 7, in both Hindi and Telugu.
