Salman Khan Unveils Fresh Look After Completing ‘Galwan’ Shoot!

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan was recently spotted with a clean-shaven look at Kalina airport in Mumbai, drawing attention as he navigated through heavy security. The actor took a moment to wave to the media present before proceeding to his security check.

Previously, Salman had showcased a moustache for his role in the upcoming war film ‘Galwan’. He maintained this look for an extended period while filming for the reality show ‘Bigg Boss’ and during his Dabangg Tour. It seems the actor is finally entering a restful phase after a grueling schedule, especially with the finale of ‘Bigg Boss’ scheduled for Sunday. Additionally, he is preparing to celebrate his milestone 60th birthday on December 27, 2025.

The film ‘Galwan’ marks another transformation in Salman’s appearance, particularly his trademark moustache, famously embodied in his role as Chulbul Pandey, the grey cop from the ‘Dabangg’ franchise.

In a recent Instagram post, Salman shared a behind-the-scenes picture from the film’s set, where he is seen peeking through a clapperboard. The image captures the 86th scene, featuring a close-up shot of the actor during his first take.

Dressed in combat fatigues that included a jacket with insignia, Salman embraced the old Personal Camouflage Disruptive Pattern Material (PC DPM) to reflect the era of the 2020-2021 Galwan stand-off. The PC DPM was later replaced by the New Battle Dress Uniform (NBDU) of the Indian National Camouflage, which debuted on January 15, 2022, during the 74th Army Day Parade in New Delhi, designed in collaboration with NIFT.

The image also shows a wound across the actor’s face, with the caption reading “#BattleOfGalwan”. The film is inspired by the Galwan stand-off that occurred between India and China on June 15, 2020, amid the first wave of the Covid-19 pandemic in India.

    Collaboration with Priyanka Chopra

Speaking about her collaboration with Priyanka, Gurinder said, “I called Priyanka, whom I have known for a long time. PeeCee is a great supporter of everyone in the diaspora, all of us doing our own thing, and she is always there to support us. Except this time, she said, ‘No, I can’t do this. I am not a singer. Are you mad?’”

Gurinder clarified her enthusiasm to Priyanka, stating, “It will be so much fun! It’s for the end titles. You know how I do things at the end, with full ‘Tamasha’ — it’ll be fun. My dog will be there, and we will just have a great time.” Eventually, Priyanka agreed, saying, “Okay, it sounds like fun.” After joining Gurinder in the studio in London, she laughed and commented, “You’re mad, but let’s do it.” Priyanka even took time to correct some of the Hindi lyrics and delivered a beautiful performance.

    Anushka Shankar’s Involvement

In addition to Priyanka, Gurinder reached out to the internationally acclaimed sitar player Anushka Shankar. “I called Anushka Shankar, who is also a friend, and said, ‘Come and play with us.’ Anushka came as well and said, ‘You’re mad, but I’ll support you.’ She played a beautiful sitar version of ‘Last Christmas.’”

For those unfamiliar, Priyanka Chopra Jonas has infused a desi flavor into the classic Wham! song ‘Last Christmas’. Reflecting on this collaboration, she remarked, “Gurinder Chadha has been one of the very few stalwarts in entertainment that has championed stories of the Indian diaspora globally and consistently with absolute authenticity and heart.” She expressed her joy in supporting Gurinder, stating, “I hope this desi twist to a song that has long been the soundtrack of Christmas for so many of us resonates with audiences.”

  • Rita Ora: My Journey of Continuous Learning and Growth

Rita Ora: My Journey of Continuous Learning and Growth

Singer Rita Ora, who gained fame after being signed by rapper Jay-Z’s Roc Nation in 2009, expresses her desire to pursue more opportunities beyond just music.

The 35-year-old artist skyrocketed to global stardom in 2012 with hit singles like “R.I.P.” and “How We Do (Party).” She has since taken on significant acting roles, portraying Mia, Christian Grey’s sister, in the “Fifty Shades of Grey” films, and has also made her mark on television as a judge on “The Masked Singer.”

    Embracing Diversity in Career

Speaking at The Red Sea International Film Festival in Jeddah, she shared her thoughts with the Daily Mail, saying, “They tend to limit themselves as just one category, and you don’t really need to do that. I see myself as an amateur every day as I’m constantly learning. You should never walk into the room thinking you don’t have power, as you do.”

With her mother, Vera Sahatciu, being her greatest inspiration, Ora believes that if other artists can branch out into various projects—like Madonna transitioning into acting—she can do the same.

    Breaking Boundaries Together

The “Hot Right Now” hitmaker remarked, “There are so many women for different reasons, like Madonna in music, Blondie, and even Cher. They are people who have done more than one thing, and that’s exactly what I love to do. So it’s awesome to see these boundaries being broken.”

Ora aspires to empower future generations. She stated, “I can talk about events like this for hours. In a nutshell, there are so many moments we’ve seen as women, from equal pay to being shy to talk about menopause to everything we hold as women.”

She emphasized the importance of support among women, saying, “It’s almost as if it’s being questioned, and it’s like, why is it even something that is discussed with women being in the same room supporting one another? I think it should just be a thing and be natural and normal, and I don’t see a world without it. I’m very lucky to say I’m embracing that kind of energy, and I want to keep that going for future generations.”
