The movie, currently referred to as Suriya 47, is being produced by Zhagaram Studios. The launch was graced by the film’s cast, crew, and various industry well-wishers, reflecting the film’s considerable buzz.

Fans have shown immense curiosity and excitement regarding this collaboration between Suriya and Jithu Madhavan, particularly since it has been one of the most anticipated announcements of the year.

Ceremony Highlights

The pooja ceremony united the entire team, featuring prominent actors such as Nazriya Nazim, Naslen, and Anandraj. Music Director Sushin Shyam and other critical members of the cast and crew were also present.

Several celebrities attended the occasion, including actress Jyotika, who is producing the film, actor Karthi, and producers Rajsekar Pandian of 2D Entertainment, along with S.R. Prakash and S.R. Prabhu of Dream Warrior Pictures.

Filming Commencement

Immediately after the pooja, the production team commenced filming, marking the start of the first schedule.

Director’s Statement

Jithu Madhavan expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “New industry, New beginning, that too with a star like Suriya adds more excitement. Trying to do something new, I hope the audience accepts and enjoys the freshness that we are trying to deliver.”

Cast and Crew

Suriya takes on the lead role while Nazriya Nazim stars as the female lead. Rising actor Naslen, known for his successful outings, plays a significant role alongside actors John Vijay and Anandaraj.

The film showcases an impressive technical team, with cinematography by Vineeth Unni Palode and music composed by Sushin Shyam. Production design will be handled by Ashwini Kale, while editing duties fall to Ajmal Sabu. Chetan D Souza has been brought on as the stunt choreographer for this ambitious project, which has generated huge expectations among fans.

Actress Hetal Gada, who is garnering positive feedback for her role in the recently released streaming show ‘Aukaat Se Bahar’, has shared some insights about her co-star Elvish Yadav. She revealed that he has a knack for feeding people delicious home-cooked food.

During a promotional interaction for ‘Aukaat Se Bahar’, Hetal discussed the affectionate side of Haryanvi culture. “Yes, it can be a little rough. But the emotion behind it is different. Elvish is very soft from inside, very warm, and excellent at feeding people. He has a very good habit,” she stated.

Hetal further elaborated on her experiences with Elvish. “We were doing a look test in Mumbai and thinking about our food order. I was confused about what to get. He said, ‘Why do you want to order? I have homemade food. My friend has sent it’. Then he will insist, which is a really nice thing.”

Hetal gained prominence with her critically acclaimed performance in the film ‘Dhanak’, where her portrayal of Pari was praised for its sincerity and depth. She has since appeared in various projects, including ‘Thai Massage’ and ‘The Sky Is Pink’, and often selects roles that emphasize realism and complex character arcs, enhancing her credibility in content-driven cinema.

Meanwhile, ‘Aukaat Se Bahar’ follows Rajveer Ahlawat, played by Elvish, a small-town boxer from Haryana who makes his way into an elite college in Delhi. The series captures his struggles to prove himself while dealing with bullying and class prejudice.

Actor Kunal Kemmu is reflecting on his journey in the industry, particularly his experience working on the National Award-winning film ‘Zakhm’.

During a recent conversation while promoting his upcoming streaming series ‘Single Papa’, Kunal shared his thoughts about ‘Zakhm’, a film directed by Mahesh Bhatt and inspired by his life.

A Milestone in His Career

Walking down memory lane, Kunal expressed, “I think that was a very critical film in my career which made me solidify my belief in myself as an actor. Before that, I was ‘a kid in a film’. So half the time, I was not sure. I used to think, ‘Are they just finding me just cute or do they really look beyond the cuteness’? And, ‘Are they laughing because I’ve been handed one-liners?’. If it was ‘Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke’, they were just liking me because I was an eight-year-old who was saying those lines.”

He continued, “But in ‘Zakhm’, it was for the first time that I thought, ‘Okay, I’m getting respect out of this more than just, ‘Oh, he’s such a nice kid’. So for me, that was the most important thing. The fondest memories are of working with Bhatt sahab. I think he’s been an integral part of my acting career and has been one of the most motivational people in my life. He also gave me a re-launch with a film like ‘Kalyug’.”

A Significant Project

Kunal highlighted how critical ‘Zakhm’ was, noting that it marked Mahesh Bhatt’s last directorial venture for years until he made ‘Sadak 2’. Additionally, it was Pooja Bhatt’s last film as an actor and Kunal’s final film as a child actor.

“I was very happy to be a part of it. I remember Mahesh Bhatt told me years before he made the film that he wanted to include me. He said, ‘If you’re not in it, I won’t make it’. I thought he was just lying. I was in the 10th standard at the time, and there was a moment I believed I wouldn’t be able to participate. Mukesh Bhatt called my house and spoke to my dad, saying, ‘Bhatt sahab will not make the film if you’re not onboard. So please make sure that you can do the film because he wanted to make the film.’ I have a lot of respect and love for Bhatt sahab for giving me a film like that. We’re still talking about it. I was 15 then, and it is one of the most important films of my life,” he added.

Mythri Movie Makers has issued an important clarification regarding casting calls, urging the public to only rely on announcements made through its official handle. The well-known production house emphasized that any casting call will only be made via their official X handle, @MythriOfficial. They strongly request everyone to refrain from engaging with individuals or agencies claiming to represent their films.

Additionally, Mythri Movie Makers alerted the public about a fake Instagram account impersonating Mr. Naveen Yerneni. They stressed the importance of vigilance and encouraged everyone to report any misleading profiles.

This issue of fake casting agents is not unique to Mythri. In November, Raaj Kamal Films International, under the renowned actor Kamal Haasan, clarified that they had not hired any casting agents for their films. They stated, “This is to clarify that Raaj Kamal Films International has not hired any casting agents for any of our films. Please do not trust any emails, messages and social media posts regarding this. Legal action will be taken against any unauthorized use of our name.”

Several other prominent production houses have faced similar problems this year. In August, Neelam Productions, led by acclaimed director and producer Pa Ranjith, warned actors about fake casting calls, asking them to verify all auditions and casting alerts through their official social media handles.

Neelam Productions issued a notice, declaring, “Beware of FAKE AUDITION CALLS in the name of Neelam Productions. Please check for casting calls and audition alerts only from our official social handles. Thank you!” They also shared a poster clarifying that various audition calls were counterfeit and should not be trusted.

Actors and production companies have consistently encountered issues with fake casting calls. Tamil actor Sibi Sathyaraj, known for his role as Kattappa in the blockbuster ‘Baahubali’, previously alerted the public about a fake casting call circulating in his name. He clarified that he was not associated with the individual behind the posting nor the project mentioned.

Sibi’s warning highlighted a bogus casting call for a film directed by Sakthi Saravanan, seeking actors from ages 25 to 50, along with child artistes aged 10 to 15 to send their profiles to a listed number.

Earlier this year, Sreyas, director of Wunderbar Films, cautioned against miscreants issuing fake casting calls under his name, asserting that any casting calls made in his or his production house’s name were “absolutely fake and baseless.”

He stated, “Hello, This is to bring to everyone’s attention that any casting calls under my name or Wunderbar Films Pvt Ltd is absolutely false and baseless. +91 7598756841 is not my number and is being misused with my picture.”

Additionally, Prince Pictures, a reputable production house, had previously issued warnings against fraudsters claiming to offer acting roles in their upcoming film Sardar 2 for money or favors.

The rise in such fraudulent activities has become a pressing concern for many in the film industry.

Social media content creator Elvish Yadav has made his OTT debut with the show ‘Aukaat Se Bahar.’ He recently expressed his aspirations for the Haryanvi industry during promotional activities for the series.

Rising Haryanvi Industry

In recent years, the Haryanvi industry has established itself as a significant force, with Haryanvi culture and music gaining prominence. Elvish aims to change the perception surrounding Haryanvi culture and language.

He shared, “When I used to make my videos on YouTube, I didn’t use my own language. But as soon as I set my tone, people started showing their support. I would say that the Haryanvi industry is what made me. Haryanvi culture, language, accent, whatever you call it. Everything was given to me by that industry. My character is also Haryanvi. I don’t know what I should give to the Haryanvi industry.”

Changing Perceptions

Elvish added, “But as far as I can go, as far as I can think, people think that the Haryanvi language is a bad language. It is rude, people are angry, people say anything. But that’s not true. The Haryanvi language is like any other language. Promoting it in a good way is my goal. I don’t want people to think that my Haryanvi character is bad. I want people to move away from stereotypes. That’s what I can do for my industry.”

Elvish emphasized that ‘Aukaat Se Bahar’ serves as a platform to reshape public perception of Haryanvi culture, language, and its people.
