Legendary actor Dharmendra would have celebrated his 90th birthday on Monday. In honor of this special day, his daughter, actress Esha Deol, shared a heartfelt note reflecting on their strong bond.

Esha uploaded several photographs with the ‘He-Man’ of Bollywood and wrote, “To my darling Papa… Our pact, the strongest bond. “us” through all our lifetimes, all the realms and beyond… We are always together, papa. Be it heaven or earth. We are one.”

She cherishes the beautiful memories, essential life lessons, and the unconditional love and strength that Dharmendra provided, emphasizing that these treasures can never be taken away from her.

“For now, I have very tenderly, carefully & preciously tucked you in my heart… deep, deep inside to carry on with me for the rest of this lifetime,” she expressed.

Esha reflected on the magical memories and the guidance, warmth, dignity, and strength he instilled in her as his daughter, asserting that nothing can replace or match these.

Expressing her deep longing for her late father, she shared what she misses most about him: “I so painfully miss you, papa… your warm, protective hugs that felt like the cosiest blanket, holding your soft yet strong hands which had unspoken messages, and your voice calling out my name, that followed with endless conversations, laughter & shayaris. Your motto ‘always be humble, be happy, healthy & strong,’” she wrote.

Towards the end of her touching post, Esha promised to carry forward Dharmendra’s legacy with pride and respect.

“I promise to continue your legacy with pride & respect. And I will try my best to spread your love to the millions who love you as I do. I love you, papa,” she concluded, signing off as “Your darling daughter, Your Esha, your Bittu.”

After almost three and a half months of being locked inside the house, popular television actor Gaurav Khanna emerged as the winner of “Bigg Boss 19,” hosted by Salman Khan.

The ‘Anupamaa’ actor is believed to be taking home a cash prize of Rs 50 lakh, along with the prestigious Bigg Boss trophy.

Runner-Up and Eliminations

Farrhana Bhatt, who was among the top two contestants this season, became the first runner-up. Singer Amaal Mallik was the first contestant from the top five to be evicted from the show. Following Amaal, one of the most talked-about contestants this season, Tanya Mittal, also lost the race to the finale. The second runner-up for season 19 of “Bigg Boss,” Pranit More, was eliminated after Tanya, leaving Gaurav and Farrhana as the top two finalists.

Salman’s Tribute

During the episode, an emotional Salman Khan remembered the late legendary actor Dharmendra, who passed away on November 24 this year. Salman shared, “He (Dharmendra) passed on my father’s birthday and celebrates his birthday with my mother. God bless you, Dharamji. If I am feeling like this, what would Sunny, Bobby aur unka pariwar be feeling.” He also reflected on the dignified conduct of two significant funerals he attended, stating, “Two funerals that were best conducted ever. One was Sooraj Barjatya’s mother and the second was Dharamji’s. How well they conducted the prayer meet. So much dignity. Ek decorum hona chahiye, celebration hona chahiye. Every ceremony, every funeral should be conducted in such a dignified manner.”

Salman added that he has followed Dharamji throughout his career.

Season Overview

“Bigg Boss 19” premiered on August 24, 2025, featuring 16 contestants, including Ashnoor Kaur, Zeishan Quadri, Awez Darbar, Nagma Mirajkar, Nehal Chudasama, Baseer Ali, Abhishek Bajaj, Natalia Janoszek, Neelam Giri, Kunickaa Sadanand, and Mridul Tiwari. With tears in his eyes, Salman struggled to speak about Dharmendra, his emotions overwhelming him. This was a rare moment of vulnerability for the actor on national television. While informing the contestants about the unfortunate news, he wept and stated, “Dharmendra passed away on the 24th of November, on my father Salim Khan’s 90th birthday.”

He described Dharmendra as “the He-Man of Bollywood,” noting his innocent face and impressive physique, attributing over 60 years of legacy to him. Salman’s emotions deepened when he recalled that Dharmendra’s birthday falls on December 8, coinciding with his mother’s special day. He also praised the dignity with which Dharmendra’s funeral was conducted. “I have seen two funerals being conducted with full dignity to date; one was of filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya’s mother, and the second was Dharamji’s. Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, and the entire family of Dharmendra ji conducted the prayer meetings also with so much dignity, love, and grace. It was such a beautiful moment to see so many people celebrate his life with so much love.”

As Salman reminisced about Dharmendra, a video showcasing their moments on the Bigg Boss sets aired, making him visibly emotional. He recalled how Dharmendra was a consistent presence on set each season.

“But this time he won’t be there,” said Salman, breaking down further. “If it is so difficult for me, imagine how difficult it must be for Sunny, Bobby, and Esha—all of them have made Dharamji proud. Prakash aunty, Hema ji as well,” he added. He emphasized that there would never be another actor like Dharmendra, stating that only he deserved all the grace, respect, and love in Bollywood.

Earlier, while hosting Bigg Boss 19, Salman voiced his profound sadness over Dharmendra’s passing. He remarked that the previous week had been tough not just for the nation but especially for the Bollywood industry. Without directly naming Dharmendra, he mentioned that “this week the industry faced a huge loss,” adding, “I wish I was not hosting Bigg Boss this week, but in the end, life goes on.”

For those unfamiliar, Dharmendra passed away on November 24 at the age of 89. Salman Khan was among the first Bollywood celebrities to arrive at the crematorium on that date and later at the prayer meeting organized by the Deol family on November 27. He shared a close bond with Dharmendra, having starred together in the film Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya, which also featured Kajol and Arbaaz Khan.

Dharmendra’s relationship with the Khan family spans over 50 years, dating back to when Salman’s father, Salim Khan, co-wrote the iconic classic Sholay with Javed Akhtar. Dharmendra played Veeru in Sholay, a character still regarded as one of the finest in Bollywood.

On November 25, a day after Dharmendra’s demise, many prominent figures from the film industry visited the Deol residence to offer their condolences. Dharmendra, who was 89 at the time of his passing, would have celebrated his 90th birthday on December 8 this year.

Filmmaker Vikram Bhatt has been taken into custody by the Rajasthan police and transported to Udaipur. Bhatt and his wife, Shwetambari Bhatt, were apprehended following a complaint from an Udaipur-based doctor, who alleges that he was defrauded of crores by the director under the pretense of making a film.

Accusations of Fraud

Reports indicate that Bhatt, his wife Shwetambari Bhatt, and six others face allegations of defrauding Dr. Ajay Murdia, the founder of Indira Group of Companies, to the tune of Rs 30 crore. The police had previously issued notices to the six accused, requesting their appearance before authorities by December 8.

Details of the Allegations

According to the FIR, Dr. Murdia claims he met Bhatt in April last year to discuss a film project in memory of his late wife, Indira. This movie was allegedly intended to pay tribute to her life and contributions in the field of infertility treatment across the country.

Dr. Murdia was reportedly promised that the film would yield a profit of around Rs 200 crore. In addition to the biopic, another project focused on a historical war narrative was also discussed between the two.

Dr. Murdia alleges that Bhatt guaranteed comprehensive management of all aspects of the film’s production. The complaint, lodged at Udaipur’s Bhupalpura police station, accuses Bhatt and his associates of engaging in financial irregularities and making false promises to the complainant.

Actress Malavika Mohanan, who believes the tiger is her spirit animal, is currently enjoying her time at Tadoba National Park in Maharashtra, capturing stunning images of this majestic creature.

Sharing her experiences on Instagram, Malavika posted a heartfelt entry titled “Chasing Tigers.”

In her post, she remarked, “I’m back in Tadoba after a few years, and every time I’m here I’m reminded of how this is one of the best tiger reserves in our country. Some of the best and most picturesque tiger sightings, strongly implemented rules to ensure the welfare of the park and the wildlife, and so much landscape beauty. Previously, she explained why she considers the tiger her spirit animal. On World Tiger Day, she shared a thoughtful post on her Instagram, writing, “It’s my favourite animal day aka #WorldTigerDay. Sharing some photos of and about this beautiful beast.”

One memorable picture showed her watching a tiger pass by, where she mentioned, “I have innumerable photographs of tigers I’ve spotted over the years, but very few with one for obvious reasons. This was in the jungles of Ranthambore about five years back, and I absolutely love this picture.”

Malavika also included a photo of a shrine dedicated to tigers in a nearby village, noting, “Most of the places in and around jungles till date worship tigers and other big cats and pray to them to be able to co-exist in harmony with each other.”

Dusk was setting in and right when we were about to leave, our naturalist heard a distant roar. We slowly saw this magnificent beast walk out and it came so close to our vehicle. It was so magical.”

Malavika also mentioned a fun fact about tigers, stating that all the tigers found in India belong to the ‘Bengal Tiger’ subspecies, one of the various subspecies that exist.
