Thanking her stars for bringing Shanawaz into her life, she expressed, “Today is our anniversary — a day dedicated to the most loving, caring, and endlessly supportive husband I could have asked for. I thank my stars and Mahadev every single day for Shan being in my life.”

Devoleena acknowledged her husband as her pillar of strength through various life phases. She reflected, “From my postpartum days to every phase that followed, he has stood by me with patience, strength, and unconditional support. Words will never be enough. But with him, living the life I once imagined — as a wife, a mother, and a woman — feels possible, real, and beautiful.”

A Joyous New Chapter

To recall, Devoleena tied the knot with Shanawaz on December 14, 2020, in an intimate ceremony. The couple welcomed their first child, a baby boy, on December 18, 2024. Announcing the joyful news on social media, they wrote, “Thrilled to announce the arrival of our bundle of joy, our baby boy. 18.12.2024. Elated parents, Devoleena & Shanawaz.” They have affectionately named their little one Joy.

Filmmaker James Cameron is responding to the criticism directed at his film ‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’.

The director has faced backlash from fans regarding his use of 3D and high frame rate (HFR) techniques in both 2022’s ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ and its sequel, ‘Fire and Ash’. Nevertheless, he firmly believes that these choices enhance the cinematic experience. While most films are typically shown at 24 frames per second (fps), Cameron opts for 48fps in significant portions, aiming to create a more realistic portrayal.

In a statement to Discussing Film, Cameron remarked, “I think $2.3 billion (box office) says you might be wrong on that. Well, that’s the argument from authority, but the argument from artistic people is ‘I happen to like it, and it’s my movie.’”

Additionally, Cameron expressed concerns about the growing dominance of streaming services, labeling it a “tragic year” for the moviegoing experience. He emphasizes the need for filmmakers to stray from conventional norms to entice audiences to visit theatres.

He shared his views with The Times, stating, “There’s no way to talk about what audiences want without talking about the decline of cinema. The cinematic experience is being supplanted in our cultural discussion by streaming.”

Cameron pointed out the impact of the pandemic, saying, “Covid gave cinema a big kick and people moved to a different way of taking in their storytelling. When people go to a cinema, they want something so far outside the norm that it’s worth hiring a babysitter for. Avatar sits in that demographic and so I don’t see it being diminished much, but I mourn box-office revenues. We are coming out of a tragic year at the cinema.”

Cinema vs. Long-Format Content

Kunal noted that while cinema requires delivering performances within a tight timeframe, long-format content offers the opportunity to explore characters in greater depth. He stated, “I don’t know if there’s much of a change (in long-format and cinema) but it’s more interesting to do a series because you get to live that character for a longer period of time. You get to build the arc of that character in depth because it’s not like a two hour or a two and a half hour, three hour journey that the audiences are going to have with you.”

Character Exploration

He further elaborated, “So you got to be more in the skin of this character because over years and depending on how many episodes there are, it can shift. But I think it’s not just for an actor. I think primarily it’s at the writing stage as they kind of are the architects of the ship. So, they build that character in detail. And then of course for me as an actor, I enjoy the fact that if it’s well written. A well-written part makes the job of an actor easier, and the audience eventually enjoys it. But if it’s not, then it can get taxing.”

“Single Papa” is Kunal’s third streaming series, following “Abhay” and “Pop Kaun?” In between these two projects, he expanded his creative portfolio by making his directorial debut with “Madgaon Express,” which is on the brink of becoming a modern cult classic.

This year marks the 115th anniversary of Savarkar’s poem ‘Sagara Pran Tarmalala.’ In light of this, Hooda revisited the Cellular Jail in Port Blair, where Savarkar was imprisoned.

Sharing glimpses from his visit on Instagram, he wrote, “Sri Vijayapuram (Port Blair). Cellular Jail. 115 years of Sagara Pran Tarmalala! To revisit the very Cellular Jail where Veer Savarkar once suffered, where I shot a major chunk of #SwatantryaVeerSavarkar and to witness the unveiling of his statue in what was once dreaded Kaala Paani, feels deeply personal. History may remember slowly, but truth endures. (sic).”
