Kratika continued, “I was always shy to say I love you, dad, but you never stopped until I said it with ease — that was your way of wrapping me in love. You weren’t just my father-in-law; you were my Dad, my friend, my safe place. We’d talk for hours about everything and nothing, and now the silence feels so heavy without you. Thank you for loving Devika the way you did—she will always remember you as her Bestest DAADU. I LOVE YOU DAD.”

  • Nicole Scherzinger Shares How 20s Fame Stunted Her Personal Growth Journey

Nicole Scherzinger Shares How 20s Fame Stunted Her Personal Growth Journey

Singer Nicole Scherzinger believes that achieving fame with the Pussycat Dolls in her 20s deprived her of vital “growth time” in her life.

The 47-year-old star gained recognition as part of the iconic girl group during the 2000s and resonates with the challenges faced by artists like Britney Spears. Scherzinger reflects on how the stardom she acquired left her inadequately prepared for facing setbacks.

In a conversation with Variety, she stated, “When you’re so young, you don’t realise it at the time, but that time of growth is taken from you. I wonder about that with Britney Spears. That time was stripped from her. Is there a part of you that is stunted, and you’re not able to grow?”

She added, “She’s definitely found herself in very co-dependent, needy relationships, and I have as well. And feeling desperate. I’ve felt that way in relationships as well.”

Scherzinger received the Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical for her role as Norma Desmond in the West End and Broadway revivals of Sunset Boulevard. However, she was initially hesitant to embrace the role. She shared, “I was taken aback. I was like, ‘Wow. This is what you got me out here for. This is your big idea.’ I was thinking, ‘I’m still Queen Pussycat Doll, and you’re already making me an old has-been movie star. That’s the role that you see for me?’”

Relating to her character—a faded star from the silent movie era—Scherzinger expressed how the industry often sidelines its stars. “I definitely had my time in the limelight like her, and the industry moves on without you. On a personal level, I really related to Norma’s struggles with loneliness and abandonment and feeling misunderstood and unseen—feeling very small and pathetic, even.”

She described her successful transition into stage acting as “liberating.”

“You’re forced to shed old skins and say, ‘I can’t make an excuse anymore. I can’t be a victim anymore. I can’t be afraid anymore.’ It’s just liberating to take those chains off.”

  • Rashmika Mandanna Calls Screaming Her Secret Superpower in Tadaka Role!

Rashmika Mandanna Calls Screaming Her Secret Superpower in Tadaka Role!

Actress and national crush Rashmika Mandanna, riding high on the success of her latest release “Thamma,” recently shared her insights on diving into the complex world of her character and the human connections that define her journey.

    Exploring Human Emotions

Discussing the emotional depth of her character, Tadaka, Rashmika expressed, “I’ve realized Tadaka is just picking up emotions through the journey because it’s been so many years that she’s been alive, but she’s also been in the forest. For her, humans are a fascinating species.”

She elaborated, “Every time they cry, she’s just wondering how they’re crying. Each laugh makes her think, ‘oh, this is how you smile.’ She tries to replicate those emotions from Alok and similar interactions. Those are the minute details that I focused on because I thought, okay, I’m an animal.”

Rashmika further explained her approach: “If I were turned into a human, this is what I’d have to do. That’s how I viewed the role and performed it. That’s why she can’t cry; she doesn’t know how to. Her only outlet is screaming, which is her superpower. So, yeah, we built around that concept.”

    About “Thamma”

“Thamma” also features Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Ayushmann Khurrana and is set in a fictional world. The film connects with Varun Dhawan’s “Bhediya” and is part of the larger Maddock Horror Comedy Universe, linked to the “Stree” films, “Bhediya,” and “Munjya.”

This vampire-themed film tells the story of a journalist, portrayed by Ayushmann, who becomes entangled in the power dynamics between the vampire characters played by Rashmika and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

    Looking Ahead

Shifting her focus to upcoming projects, Rashmika is excited about the release of her new film “The Girlfriend,” a Telugu romantic drama that also stars Dheekshith Shetty and is directed by Rahul Ravindran. Scheduled for release on November 7, 2025, the film will be available in multiple languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam. She will also appear in “Cocktail 2” and “Mysaa.”
