The unit of director Abhishek Nama’s highly anticipated pan-Indian film ‘Nagabandham’ has begun shooting the film’s high-stakes climax. Featuring actors Virat Karrna, Nabha Natesh, and Iswarya Menon in lead roles, the production is now focused on completing this crucial sequence.

Sources close to the unit reveal that the climax, being filmed at Ramanaidu Studios, is one of the most ambitious finale sequences ever attempted in a mythological action drama. The costs for just this climax sequence alone have reached an impressive Rs 20 crore.

‘Nagabandham’ is described as a dream project for director Abhishek Nama, who is particularly cautious about executing the climax episode.

A Grand Set Design

Central to this grand finale is a massive, symbolically rich set featuring a monumental sacred door, designed by production designer Ashok Kumar. This set beautifully captures the grandeur of ancient temple architecture. To elevate the action sequences, the makers have enlisted renowned Thai stunt master Kecha Khamphakdee.

Star-Studded Cast

The film boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including Nabha Natesh and Iswarya Menon as the female leads, along with Jagapathi Babu, Jayaprakash, Murali Sharma, and B.S. Avinash in supporting roles.

A Mythological Journey

‘Nagabandham’ delves into the hidden secrets of India’s ancient Vishnu temples, particularly focusing on the sacred practice of Nagabandham. The storyline draws inspiration from recent treasure discoveries at significant temples like Padmanabhaswamy and Puri Jagannath. It explores the captivating mythology surrounding these divine locations and the enigmatic rituals designed to safeguard them, bringing these age-old mysteries to life with a fresh, modern narrative.

Technical Specs

Cinematography is being handled by Soundar Rajan S, while the musical score is provided by Abhe and Junaid Kumar. The dialogues are penned by Kalyan Chakravarthy, and editing is managed by Santosh Kamireddy. Ashok Kumar also plays a crucial role as the art director.

Multilingual Release

‘Nagabandham’ is set to be released in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. Quickly shaping up as an epic adventure, the film carries the tagline “The Secret Treasure.” Abhishek Nama has written both the story and screenplay, with production helmed by Kishore Annapureddy and Nishitha Nagireddy.

Tamil superstar Rajinikanth has paid heartfelt tributes to veteran film producer AVM Saravanan, who passed away early on Thursday. Rajinikanth described Saravanan as a true gentleman and a steadfast supporter during his difficult moments.

Reflecting on the legacy of the legendary producer, Rajinikanth stated, “He was a really great person. He was a true example of a gentleman. He always wore white dresses, symbolizing his pure heart. His love for cinema was unmatched. Whenever he spoke, he fondly remembered his father, whom he called ‘Appachi’ multiple times.”

The actor emphasized the special bond he shared with Saravanan, known for his kindness and humility. Rajinikanth expressed gratitude, saying, “He loved me a lot and was a well-wisher. He stood by me during my tough times. I acted in nine films with AVM, and all of them became big hits. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that Saravanan sir was the main reason for their success.”

He reminisced about their collaboration, highlighting iconic films like ‘Murattu Kalai’ in the eighties and ‘Sivaji’ in the 2000s, both produced on a grand scale. Rajinikanth mentioned that Saravanan had plans for another film together this decade, which unfortunately did not materialize.

Expressing his sorrow at Saravanan’s passing, Rajinikanth conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the producer’s family, hoping for his soul to rest in peace.

For those unaware, AVM Saravanan, who just celebrated his birthday a day prior, left behind an unmatched legacy as a driving force behind numerous iconic films produced under the esteemed AVM banner. His contributions to cinema shaped generations and earned him widespread admiration within the industry.

The news of the veteran producer’s death cast a shadow over the Tamil film industry, prompting many production houses to cancel events in his honor. He was recognized as a visionary, mentor, and pioneer of Tamil cinema. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin was among those who paid respects to this iconic figure of Tamil film.

Sources reveal that he has helmed an inspiring Indie song titled ‘Varum Vetri’, featuring the celebrated Kannada star Kichcha Sudeep as the vocalist.

Having been a significant presence in Tamil cinema for over twenty-five years, Shaam not only directed the music album ‘Varum Vetri’ but also produced it under the banner of SIR Studios.

Joining him on screen is actress Neera, whose vibrant energy enhances the album’s theme of aspiration and upliftment. The song has been composed by Amrish, noted for his diverse musical style, while the celebrated choreographer Sridhar Master has added his touch with captivating dance sequences.

The prestigious T-Series label is set to present the album globally, expanding its reach in the international music market.

The music video is shot by cinematographer K. A. Sakthivel, with editing done by Lawrence Kishore. The lyrics were penned by Jagan, and V. R. Rajavel took charge of the art direction. Stunt coordination is by Monster Mukesh, and Neera has also contributed to costume styling.

On the acting front, Shaam has wrapped up shooting for director P Velmanikkam’s upcoming action thriller ‘The Trainer’. The film stars actor Srikanth alongside Shaam in lead roles and is inspired by the ‘Kaavalan’ App Initiative from the Tamil Nadu police.

According to sources, ‘The Trainer’ features Srikanth in a compelling role as a dog trainer, with a trained dog named ‘Lee’ playing a crucial part throughout the story.

Shaam is set to portray a cop in the film, which draws inspiration from the ‘Kaavalan’ App developed by the Tamil Nadu Police Department for women’s safety. This blend of social relevance and gripping action is expected to resonate with audiences.

The plot of ‘The Trainer’ revolves around a mysterious gang engaged in criminal activities, influenced by an acupuncture doctor. It promises to be high on action, featuring at least eight thrilling action sequences designed to keep viewers on the edge of their seats.

In addition to Shaam and Srikanth, the film’s ensemble cast includes Pujitha Ponnda, Anjana Kirthi, Junior MGR, Vagai Chandrasekar, and Sai Dheena in pivotal roles.

On the technical side, cinematography is by Arunmozhi Cholan, music is composed by Karthik Raja, son of the legendary Ilaiyaraaja, with editing handled by Niranjan Antony.

Randeep has acquired the official movie rights to “Operation Khukri: The Untold Story of the Indian Army’s Bravest Peacekeeping Mission Abroad,” authored by Major General Rajpal Punia and Damini Punia. This sets the stage for a significant project that will delve into one of the Indian Army’s most daring operations abroad.

The film will depict the intense events from 2000 when 233 Indian soldiers were taken hostage by rebel forces in Sierra Leone, West Africa, and the subsequent high-risk rescue mission. Randeep will portray Major General Raj Pal Punia, who was then a young Company Commander of the 14th Mechanised Infantry, navigating both the tense standoff and the extraordinary rescue effort amidst challenging jungle warfare conditions.

Filmmaker Raj Nidimoru’s former wife, Shhyamali De, recently expressed her gratitude to those who offered support during a challenging time in her life. She clarified that she is not seeking “attention and sympathy.”

Mahhi is well-known for her roles as Nakusha in Laagi Tujhse Lagan and Nandini in Balika Vadhu. She and Jay Bhanushali clinched victory in the dance reality show Nach Baliye 5 in 2013. Additionally, she was a contestant on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 4 and Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 7.
