Hollywood actor Jacob Elordi, known for his recent work in Saltburn, found himself in a tense situation with a photographer during his recent trip to Paris. The 28-year-old actor was attempting to maintain a low profile at the Gare du Nord station, as observed in a video circulating online.
The Heated Exchange
While the photographer approached him, saying, “Jacob, we love you,” Elordi took off one of his headphones and responded, “You make it really hard for me to live.” When the photographer repeated, “We love you,” Elordi replied firmly, “I don’t love you,” reiterating his earlier statement about the challenges of his fame.
Elordi’s representatives have not responded to requests for comments regarding the incident.
Fan Reactions
Following the exchange, fans quickly rallied to support Elordi. One user on social media remarked, “This is honestly heartbreaking,” emphasizing that fame shouldn’t allow others to disregard personal boundaries. Another supporter added, “You can love someone’s work without making their life harder to live. Jacob deserves the same basic humanity and space as anyone else.”
Comments continued with sentiments like, “I would have been annoyed from the first second if someone followed me like this.”
A Rising Star
Elordi gained popularity through Netflix’s The Kissing Booth franchise, and his fame skyrocketed with his performance in HBO’s Euphoria. His recent projects include Saltburn and Priscilla, along with Frankenstein, which recently earned him a Golden Globe nomination. He is set to star in Emerald Fennell’s adaptation of Wuthering Heights alongside Margot Robbie in the coming year.
In a recent conversation on The Hollywood Reporter’s Awards Chatter podcast, recorded at the Newport Beach Film Festival, Elordi reflected on his rise to fame, stating, “I woke up into a completely different world.”
