‘Sahakutumbaanaam’ is described as a “heartwarming Telugu film packed with drama, nostalgia, and dysfunctional family madness.” Initially set for release on December 12, the makers opted to postpone the film to December 19, giving way for actor Nandamuri Balakrishna’s ‘Akhanda 2’ and its anticipated celebration.

HNG Cinemas, while communicating its decision, said, “Our film #Sahakutumbaanaam, which was earlier scheduled for 12th December, will now hit theatres on 19th December. Thank you all for your love, support, and patience. And guess what? A banger song is on the way — stay tuned!”

They further added, “We planned ‘Sahakutumbaanaam’ for a December 12th release, but when Balayya garu’s ‘Akhanda 2’ shifted to the same date, we felt only pride and respect. As admirers of Nandamuri Balakrishna garu, we want his film to roar, dominate, and create unstoppable mass celebrations. So with due respect, love, and complete goodwill, we are postponing our film to December 19th.”

The production house also stated, “Some decisions are not business… they are emotion. We believe cinema is a festival and Balayya garu’s film deserves its full fireworks. For those unaware, Nandamuri Balakrishna’s ‘Akhanda 2: Thaandavam’ was initially scheduled for release on December 5. However, it faced a delay due to financial issues but ultimately released on December 12 after resolving those hurdles.

Choreographer-director Farah Khan recently revealed the inspiration behind the college location in her film ‘Main Hoon Na’.

In the latest episode of her streaming show, Farah visited the home of actor-turned-chef Armaan Jain, grandson of the legendary Raj Kapoor. During their conversation, she shared that the idea for the college came from the classic film ‘Mera Naam Joker’, directed by Raj Kapoor.

Farah recalled, “I’ve taken a lot of things, so I am… when I was looking for a college, I had gone mad hunting for a college campus, I don’t know what came to mind. I think I was watching TV and suddenly my name, ‘Mera Naam Joker’, was playing.”

She elaborated, “I called Dabbu ji and said, ‘Where the hell is this?’ This is St. Paul’s and Darjeeling. I spent two days there at St. Paul’s and Darjeeling, that’s why we called it St. Paul’s and Mehu, which is the same school from ‘Mera Naam Joker.’ I love ‘Mera Naam Joker’.”

A significant portion of the film’s narrative takes place during the night. Previously, sources had indicated that the shooting would be completed in one stretch across Chennai and its surrounding areas.

Director Prahlad Kakkar has expressed his views on music composer Vishal Dadlani’s sarcastic comments regarding the discussion on ‘Vande Mataram’ in Parliament.

Vishal had previously criticized the parliamentary discourse. Without naming anyone, he pointed out the irony of how symbolic nationalism often overshadows significant issues such as unemployment, inflation, education, and healthcare.

In response, Prahlad Kakkar remarked, “If you take the politics out of a politician, what’s left? They will remain ordinary people. They are politicdigihunt, and politics is their job. You have to do something for leadership. All these controversies and statements don’t matter because leaders will just keep being leaders.”

Vishal’s Statement

Earlier, Vishal said, “Hello, brothers and sisters. I have good news for you. Yesterday, our Parliament debated on Vande Mataram for 10 hours. Vande Mataram is a very famous and well-known folk song written by Bankim Chandra Chatterjee. People love it.”

He added, “It was debated in the Parliament. And because of this debate, let me tell you, India’s unemployment problem has been solved. The Indigo problem has been solved. The air pollution problem has been solved. Imagine! A debate was held on a poem for 10 hours. These things were not even mentioned, but all these things have been solved because of this debate. This debate costs Rs. 2.5 lakh per minute of your tax money in the Parliament. 10 hours means 600 minutes. Count it.”

Hollywood star Timothée Chalamet recently played a lighthearted prank on television show host Trisha Goddard.
