Goodbye 2022: The year 2022 has been very special for South Cinema. While many films made a splash at the box office this year, many celebs were in the news for their personal lives. This year, South Indian films also dominated Google. Google has released the statistics of its most searched movies of the year. You would be surprised to know but 6 films were from South in the top 10 lists.
Surely it is heartening for the fans that in these figures, South’s films have had a heavy upper hand. Here we are telling you which of the South Indian films made it to this list. In this list, Yash’s action entertainer ‘KGF: Chapter 2’ was the second most searched film of the year. Ram Charan and Jr NTR were fourth in SS Rajamouli’s RRR. This was followed by Rishabh Shetty’s blockbuster hit ‘Kantara’.
The sixth position was bagged by Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna’s ‘Pushpa: The Rise’, while the seventh position was occupied by Kamal Haasan’s action thriller ‘Vikram’. Others in the list are Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s ‘Brahmastra: Part One’ – at number one, ‘The Kashmir Files’ at number three, ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ at number eight, ‘Drishyam 2’ at number nine, and ‘Thor : Love and Thunder’ at number ten.

RRR made an identity at the international level
After making a mark at India’s box office, SS Rajamouli, Jr NTR, and Ram Charan’s magnum opus RRR is flying high internationally as well. The film is getting tremendous response from the western audience. Recently the film has received two prestigious awards from the Atlanta Film Critics Circle and the Hollywood Critics Association. RRR was declared the ‘Best International Picture’ by the Atlanta Film Critics Circle.
