TV queen Ekta Kapoor is one of the most successful filmmakers in the industry. While she is currently facing backlash for alleged objectionable content in her shows Gandi Baat and XXX, she has recently gone on record to judge her content by appreciating the similar content present in Karan Johar’s film Lust Stories. The audience clapped.

Apart from TV shows, Ekta is also known for the films she has made so far, which include Shootout at Lokhandwala, The Dirty Picture, Shor in the City, Ragini MMS, Kyaa Kool Hain Hum, Ek Villain and more.

Meanwhile, as per a report in Bollywood Shaadi, Ekta Kapoor posted a heartfelt note on her official Instagram handle for all those who were trolling her for her objectionable content in Gandi Baat, XXX and others. As Ekta is currently under the radar of the Supreme Court for the explicit content shown in her show, she posted a note taking a dig at Karan Johar and comparing his content. He wrote, “Tum karo to lust stories, hum kare to Gandi Baat.”

As Ekta Kapoor’s dig at Karan Johar took the internet by storm in no time, she continued to question the jury about criticizing the film the platform went for selection. She wrote, “I don’t usually comment on controversial things, but it doesn’t matter which side you’re on, how is it fair for a jury to criticize a film being sent to the stage! it also happens????”

It all started when the Supreme Court heard a petition on an arrest warrant against Ekta for allegedly insulting soldiers in her web series. The show aired on ALTBalaji and created tremendous buzz among the viewers. While Ekta talked about her shows during an interview with Vogue. She said, “Beyond the fact that I want to support my own gender, the fact that this is a country where the home and the remotest of the home belong to women, beyond the point where half the population is female – come I firmly believe that stories about women are far juicier, far more entertaining and far more multifaceted than stories about men.
