IFFI 2022: The 53rd International Film Festival of India (IFFI) held in Goa ended its 9th day in Goa on Monday with the closing award ceremony. The names of the winners were announced in the presence of Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Singh Thakur, Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Dr L Murugan and Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant. Among these, Spanish drama ‘I Have Electric Dreams’ bagged the BIG Award in the Best Film category. After this, Vahid Mobasheri and Daniela Marin Navarro were elected Best Actor Actors. IFFI 2022 Educates Apart From Entertaining
“IFFI 2022 not only entertained but also educated us,” said Anurag Singh Thakur at the award ceremony. IFFI has opened up a nuanced world of cinema to audiences from across the region, both young and old, newcomers and festival veterans Celebrating 75 years of diplomatic relations with France and 75 years of India’s independence, we welcomed France as the country of focus and accorded our Cannes Country of Honor status.” He further added, “The advent of multiple streams of cinema, affordable handsets and cheap data prices are driving different streams of cinema to show powerful and engaging stories to the world.”

Government of India organizes IFFI
Let us tell you that the International Film Festival of India is organized every year by the Government of India. IFFI was organized for the first time in 1952. This year during the 9-day festival, a total of 280 films from 79 countries were screened.
