Megastar Amitabh Bachchan on Sunday said the stage is deserted due to the absence of artistes of great talent like Vikram Gokhale and Tabassum. Vikram Gokhale is known for many Marathi and Hindi films including Bachchan the path of fire (1990), died on Saturday due to multi-organ failure at a Pune-based hospital where he was undergoing treatment. He was 77 years old.
Tabassum, best known for her work as a child artist in several Hindi classics such as Baiju Bawra And Mughal-e-Azamand also as the host of the popular Doordarshan talk show Flowers are in bloom Gulshan Gulshan, passed away last week following a cardiac arrest. She was 78 years old.
Bachchan remembered Vikram Gokhale and Tabassum on his blog. “The days are full of sadness.. Friends and colleagues.. Artists of great merit, leave us day by day.. And we listen, watch and pray.. Tabassum.. Vikram Gokhale and a few Dear ones who are close and known. ..
The veteran star wrote in his blog, “He came into our lives…he played his part and left the stage empty and desolate by his absence.”

In a previous blog post, Bachchan had described Tabassum as a “spirited” all-rounder.
