Bollywood actress Kajol talks about late veteran actress Nutan and how she inspired her in life.
She also revealed that the ‘Sujatha’ actress was also an amazing singer and used to play the harmonium at home.
Kajol started her acting career in 1992 with the film ‘Bekhudi’, though she rose to fame with ‘Baazigar’. Later she did films like ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’, ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’, ‘Dilwale’ and now the actress is gearing up for Revathi’s directorial venture ‘Salaam Venky’.
Talking about Nutan, she said, “When Nutan maasi was a superstar, I was very young and when I grew up, I saw her in most of the films as a mother. She was also a very brilliant and talented singer. And used to perform for us on her harmonium.
The 48-year-old actress appeared in a special episode of ’30 Years of Kajol’ on singing reality show ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs’ along with her ‘Salaam Venky’ co-star Vishal Jethwa. The film follows the story of a caring mother, played by Kajol, who takes care of her ailing son Venky, portrayed by Vishal Jethwa and depicts her struggle and what she does to fulfill his wish. .
Kajol said that she learned a lot about women empowerment from her mother and aunt.
“I have to say one thing about my mother, maasi and nani, we keep talking about women empowerment and making women strong these days, but the leading women in my life never taught me about it, but their life Has been a living example for me, he did it and showed it to me. I am lucky that I have been brought up by these women.
