The upcoming OTT releases on the platform promise a wide range of content for those who prefer to watch content from the comfort and place of their convenience.
From Kantara to The Last Show, here are some of the OTT releases that will drop soon:
1. Chup – Artist’s Revenge: Dulquer Salmaan’s third Hindi film sees him playing a deranged serial killer who goes on a killing spree of critics who have criticized his work.
The film pays tribute to late director Guru Dutt’s film Kaagaz Ke Phool, which was widely criticized. The film will have its OTT premiere on 25th November on ZEE5 in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.
2. Khakee: The Bihar Chapter: The Netflix crime series follows the tussle between two men on opposite sides of the law – one a dreaded gang boss and the other a fiercely honest Indian Police Service officer Amit Lodha.
Shot in extreme conditions in Jharkhand and Bihar amid multiple Covid waves, it stars a talented cast including Karan Tacker, Avinash Tiwari, Ashutosh Rana, Ravi Kishan, Anoop Soni, Jatin Sarna, Nikita Dutta, Abhimanyu Singh, Aishwarya Sushmita Are included. and Shraddha Das. The show will arrive on Netflix on 25 November.
3. Kantara: The Kannada sensational hit, which is currently running ahead of all Indian films at the box-office, has moved to OTT to build on its success. The visually stunning film clearly depicts the traditional culture of Bhoot Kola and conveys a subtle message of environmental protection. The film is directed by Rishab Shetty and stars him in the lead role. Kantara released on Prime Video on Thursday.
4. The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special: The new film shows the Guardians traveling to Earth as part of their quest to make Quill’s Christmas unforgettable.
Marvel Studios special appearances include Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, and Pom Klementieff, as well as Vin Diesel as Groot and Bradley Cooper as Rocket, Sean Gunn, and The Old 97 with Michael Rooker and Kevin Bacon .
5. Girls Hostel 3.0: Living the hostel life is an experience like no other. Friends, fun, freedom and elegance are all hallmarks of a hostel stay. The upcoming season of the streaming show will take viewers on a fun-filled journey and trace the lives of the inmates as they try to navigate their way amidst everyday challenges.
‘Girls Hostel 3.0’ stars Ahsaas Channa, Srishti Srivastava, Parul Gulati, Simran Natekar, Tripti Khamkar, Jayati Bhatia, Karima Barry, Tanvi Lehar Sonigra and Akash Thapa. The show will go off air on Sony LIV on 25th November.
6. The Last Film Show: India’s official selection for the Oscars this year, which was earlier released in cinemas on October 14. The film is now moving towards OTT to make more inroads into the audience base.
The Gujarati language film is a semi-biographical coming-of-age drama written and directed by Paan Nalin. It follows the nine-year-old cinema lover in time as he moves heaven and earth in pursuit of his 35mm dream, unaware that heartbreaking times await him. The film is releasing on Netflix on 25 November.
7. Willow: The series is based on George Lucas’ fantasy-adventure film of the same name, and follows the events of an aspiring wizard, played by Warwick Davis, who sets out on a journey to protect Elora Danan, a newborn queen. Goes and wins. The evil queen Bavmorda from Andowyn’s own world.
The story continues with Davies reprising his title role, as he leads an unlikely crew of heroes to save Andoyne from a greater enemy than he had imagined. Willow, which also stars Ellie Bamber, Ruby Cruz, Erin Kellyman, Tony Revolori, Amar Chadha-Patel, Dempsey Brick and Joanne Whalley, will begin streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from November 30 in English and Hindi.
8. Paradise City: An upcoming American action film directed by Chuck Russell and written by Corey Large and Edward John Drake, starring Bruce Willis, John Travolta and Priya Lundberg, about the violent murder of main character Ryan Swan’s (Bruce Willis) father and how Ryan makes his way into the world of Hawaiian crime to seek revenge on the gangster responsible for his father’s death. The film is out on Lionsgate Plays on November 25.
