‘Maddam Sir’ actor Rahil Azam who will be seen playing the lead role in the new show ‘Ashaon Ka Savera Dheere Dheere Se’ shares his views on how men shy away from accepting daily soaps on TV.

He said: “There is no shame in men watching soap operas on a daily basis; It is just a perception made by people around us and it is completely wrong. The cliché in society is that only women watch daily soap operas, so it is surprising to see that there are men who love to watch soap operas but are reluctant to admit it. I think it should not be generalized but I think in the evening after a hard day’s work, you can find the whole family watching daily soaps.

Rahil has been a part of the entertainment industry for the last 20 years. She worked in shows like ‘Ek Tukda Chand Ka’, ‘Shah… Koi Hai’, ‘Yeh Meri Life Hai’, ‘CID’, ‘Tu Aashiqui’ and many more.

He further added that the essence of daily soap operas is well known, and they give families something to talk about together. “Most of these shows have engaging storylines that are very accurate to what happens in the lives of ordinary people. There is something for everyone to appreciate as these shows deliver what the viewers want. Daily soap opera is an entertainment medium for all; Thus, it is not necessary that only women will watch it. Men who find it intriguing can watch it and admit to watching it,” he said.
