Gul Khan, director of the streaming show ‘Aashiqana 2’, believes that the bigger the villain, the better the chance of connecting the audience with the story.

The second season of the show sees a new unconventional antagonist in the form of Virus and the challenges for the lead characters of Yash and Chikki multiply courtesy the new antagonist.

Elaborating on this, Gul Khan said, “I believe that creating a villain for a story is as important as creating your hero. A hero is only as great as the villains he conquers. In Aashikana Season 2, we wanted to explore an unseen threat and the forces that are using it to their advantage.

This means the lead characters are set to face a new battle that will test their strength and their bond, “It will see Yash and Chikki fighting a new battle that challenges them mentally and physically and brings a Will test their love for each other. Deciding on bio-warfare as the new threat felt like a generational change in the league of villains we have seen so far, ”said Gul Khan.

Directed by Gul Khan, Aashiqana 2 will also see television actor Karanvir Bohra, who dons a completely new avatar in the series which will become a new hurdle in Yash and Chikki’s life.
