Dominic West, who plays Charles, Prince of Wales, in the new season of ‘The Crown’, once rents a cottage from the man he portrays on screen, the man the world now knows as King Charles III. Knows by name.

As part of her research for the role, she ended up living at a farm estate in Cornwall run by the King, reports Female First UK.

Dominic West said: “Well, I’ve read most of the books about him, and my God, there are so many biographers as we saw [in the coverage of] Queen’s funeral. There seemed to be a new one every 10 minutes. I took advantage of The Crown’s extensive research department.

Dominic West further noted: “They sent me a lot of videos, a lot of interviews. I mean, that’s the thing about her: There’s a lot on her, and every single moment of her life has been scrutinized and recorded, so there’s a lot to go through. He has a farm estate that he saved in Cornwall and the Duchy of Cornwall [which operates land holdings on behalf of the British monarch’s eldest son] Let’s go now, and you can rent a cottage there.”

Female First UK further reveals that the ‘The Wire’ star further revealed that she stayed at the residence for a week so she could “think” about the royal, 73 – who is now married to Queen consort Camilla but has a son Prince William and Prince Harry accompanied the late Princess Diana – and enjoyed the “travel aspect” of the preparations.
