Apple iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max have problems and the fans will not be happy.
There is cause for concern for Apple fans as production of the latest flagships, the iPhone 14 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro Max, is expected to take a hit as a result of the ongoing Covid-19-related lockdowns in China. Those who planned to buy the phones will probably have to wait.
While Apple managed to meet the high demand for these smartphones by increasing production of popular smartphones, it appears that a new problem has emerged as China tightens its Covid-19 restrictions. Apple has announced that “COVID-19 restrictions have temporarily impacted the primary iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max assembly plant in Zhengzhou, China. The facility is currently operating at a significantly reduced capacity. As we have done during the COVID-19 pandemic, we are prioritizing the health and safety of workers in our supply chain.”
Frequent Covid-19 restrictions in China affect Apple’s largest iPhone factory, which is located in Zhengzhou, as well as the production of the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. The plant is already running at reduced capacity, leading to shipping delays.
Apple said: “We continue to see strong demand for iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max models. However, we now expect lower iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max shipments than we previously anticipated and customers will experience longer wait times. to receive their new products.”
“We are working closely with our supplier to return to normal production levels while ensuring the health and safety of every employee,” added the Cupertino-based giant.
Although Apple has started production of the iPhone 14 in India, the more expensive iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro Max are still produced at the factory in Zhengzhou, China. Currently, China and India are the top two manufacturers of iPhones in the world.
