“Producer said ‘If my daughter also became an actress, I would have slept with her too'”

Next Jan Mohe Bitiya Hi Ki Jo actress Ratan Rajput recalled the time when a producer indirectly asked her to sleep with him for work. Scroll down for all the details.

Ratan rose to fame with her performance as Lali in the next Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo. She later participated in Bigg Boss 7 as well, but her acting career was short-lived as she took time out to deal with the demise of her father. It was during the pandemic that the actress started a YouTube channel and has been entertaining her fans through that medium since then.

Ratan Rajput revealed his casting couch experience in one of his YouTube vlogs saying, “It was 14 years ago today. I had just gone to Mumbai. There was a 60-65 year old man. He insulted me. Said, look at their hair, look at their skin, how they are dressed. You have to change your whole look. You need a complete makeover, it will cost around Rs 2 to 2.5 lakhs to do all this. But why should I spend money on you? If you want me to spend money on you, you have to make me your godfather. You want to be my friend.”

Ratan Rajput further said, ‘I was shocked to hear such things. I told him that you will be equal to my father’s age, how can I be friends with you? Yes, I respect you. I will do as you say. Listen to me. After that the man got angry with me. And he started saying that I will not do anything for free, there is only friendship here. If you want to enter the world of acting, then stop all this drama. Be a little smarter.”

Then he said something so shocking that Ratan’s senses were blown away. “When I told the man that you are my father’s age, he got angry and said- ‘Listen. If my daughter also became an actress, I would have slept with her too… I was shocked to hear this.’ He left as soon as possible. The man didn’t do anything to me, but his words had a bad effect. I didn’t meet anyone for a month,” he revealed.

Ratan Rajput even said that if she had seen that producer today, she would have hit that producer with a shoe. The incident left her in shock and she did not meet anyone for a month. The actress also revealed that she never tried for a film after that.
