Prabhas Uncle Krishnam Raju Passes Away: Tollywood veteran actor Krishnam Raju has passed away. Krishnam Raju breathed his last at the age of 83. Actor Uppalapati Krishnam Raju is survived by wife and three daughters. ‘Baahubali’ star Prabhas is his nephew. Krishnam Raju, popularly known as the ‘rebel star’ of Tollywood, has acted in over 180 films in a career spanning over five decades. He was last seen in the film Radhe Shyam with Prabhas.
Krishnam Raju acted in films ranging from social, family, romantic, thriller films to historical and mythological films.

Krishnam Raju Apart from being a two-time Nandi Award winner of the Andhra Pradesh government, Krishnam Raju won the Filmfare Best Actor Award in 1986 for ‘Tandra Paprayudu’. He was awarded the Filmfare South ‘Lifetime Achievement’ award in 2006. Talking about successful films, the list includes ‘Amara Deepam’, ‘Sita Ramulu’, ‘Katkatala Rudraiya’ and many more.

Krishnam Raju made a career in films as well as politics. He contested the 1991 elections from Narasapuram as a Congress candidate. The actor had won the same seat as a BJP candidate in the 1999 elections and served as a junior minister in the Vajpayee cabinet until 2004.
