“Squid Game” star Lee Yu-mi is a newly minted Emmy winner after scoring Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series at the Creative Arts Emmys.
And celebrating the accolades backstage, she wondered how far she’d get if she played the game herself.
“I think I’ll probably die in Red Light, Green Light,” Lee Yu-mi said backstage with a laugh at the Creative Arts Emmys.
Although she doubts she’ll get too far in the game, her star power in Hollywood continues to grow — and she’s not taking that responsibility lightly, Deadline.com reports.
“It feels very heavy to hold it now and it almost feels like an overwhelming sense of responsibility that I have as an actress. I want to be able to do more of it as I go forward,” she said of her Emmy win.
As far as her career goes, she’s happy to talk about the future, but she’s pretty much a mother that her character Ji-Yong could return from the dead for Season 2 of the Netflix hit Or not.
“Season 2 is still a mystery. But I guess once you watch it, you’ll know,” Lee Yu-mi teased.
“Squid Game” won five Creative Emmys on Sunday, including a win for Lee with Outstanding Special Video Effects, Outstanding Stunt Performance, and Outstanding Production Design.
