Apart from the premium iPhone 14, there are a lot of new and exciting smartphones on the way – from Poco M5, Moto Edge 30 Ultra, Redmi 11 Prime and many more. Let’s see.
This week is going to be super exciting for all tech enthusiasts! No doubt the iPhone 14 launch has been in the spotlight so far, but other manufacturers are trying to steal Apple’s thunder by launching some special phones of their own. But will they manage to compete with the Apple iPhone? The launch of Apple iPhone 14 is scheduled for September 7 during the Apple Far Out Event. Ahead of the iPhone 14 launch, several other major brands are super busy this week with a string of launches. From Xiaomi, Motorola and Realme to Poco – they all market their new devices from affordable to premium. The excitement is building everywhere for these upcoming smartphones. Let’s take a closer look at these launches – iPhone 14, Poco M5, Moto Edge 30 Ultra and many more.
Smartphone will be launched this week
The new Poco M5 arrives today! Poco is all set to launch its next M-series smartphone, the Poco M5 with a 6.58-inch full HD+ LCD IPS display and a 90Hz refresh rate, which is powered by MediaTek Helio G99 chipset. It will also include a 5,000mAh battery with support for a Type C-based 33W charger. It is expected to launch at around Rs. 15,000. Yes, it’s quite affordable and nowhere near the price of the iPhone 14.
Redmi 11 Prime 5G
Redmi will launch some new devices. The Redmi 11 Prime 5G will launch in India on September 6, which is expected to be a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 11E unveiled in China. Based on the Chinese version, it is expected to feature a 6.58-inch FHD+ IPS LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and may include the MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset. This smartphone is also expected to be a budget smartphone with a price tag around Rs. 15,000. No, it won’t compete with the iPhone 14 either.
Apart from Redmi 11 Prime, there is another budget smartphone – the Redmi A1 which will be launched tomorrow. We already know a lot of details about the smartphone that may contain the MediaTek Helio G22 chipset with LPDDR4X RAM and eMMC 5.1 support. It may have a 6.52-inch HD+ display and an 8MP main camera. It’s also not the kind of heavyweight that can target an iPhone.
Realme is also coming on September 6 with a new budget smartphone, the Realme C33 with Unisoc T612 chipset, 5000mAh battery and a 50MP main camera sensor. Impressive specifications, but still no confrontation with an iPhone.
Moto Edge 30 Ultra
Just a day after the iPhone 14 launch, Moto India has planned an event to unveil two handsets – Moto Edge 30 Ultra and Edge 30 Fusion on September 8. As previously touted, the Moto Edge 30 Ultra will be the first phone to feature a 200MP camera sensor and Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip. It certainly stands a chance to start some kind of rivalry. The price is also somewhat close to the level of the iPhone 14.
Apple will most likely launch four new models: the standard iPhone 14, the large iPhone 14 Max/Plus, the Pro version, and the highly advanced iPhone 14 Pro Max. Rumors and leaks indicate major upgrades on the Pro models – from design, camera upgrades, new chipset, premium features and much more. The starting price is expected to be between $749 and $799.
