Liger Actress Ramya Krishnan Says I Was Hit In Telugu Industry Flop In Bollywood

Ramya Krishnan Liger: Ramya Krishnan, a well-known actress of the South film industry, is in discussion these days. Ramya’s film ‘Liger’ has recently been released in theaters, which seems to be falling flat at the box office. The film was heavily promoted by Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Pandey, but seeing the collection of the film, it seems that all the money was washed away. Meanwhile, Ramya, who is playing Vijay’s mother in ‘Liger’, says that she is a hit in South Indian films, but she could not get her coin in Bollywood, which is why she returned there.

Ramya made her acting debut in 1983 with the Tamil film “Vellai Manasu” and in her career spanning four decades, she acted in films in Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi languages. In Bollywood, Ramya acted in films like Khalnayak, Banarasi Babu, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Swearth, but alas none of the actress’ films proved to be a hit on the big screen, although Ramya is a hit in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam films. Recently, in a conversation with PTI, the actress says that her short stint in Bollywood gave her a chance to understand the right things as an artist. Only after this the actress left Bollywood and turned to Telugu cinema.

“A film did well and I…”
Ramya said, “No film did well here and I was already a well-known actress in the Telugu film industry. That’s why I didn’t have the courage to leave that industry and fight my battles in Hindi cinema. To do maximum number of films in a particular film industry, you need a successful film. Unfortunately this did not happen in Hindi and I feel comfortable doing Telugu films.

Let us tell you that some of the famous South films of Krishnan are “Allari Priyadu” (Telugu), “Padyappa” (Tamil), “Sweetie Nanna Jodi” (Kannada), “Baahubali” and “Baahubali 2″ (Telugu) and ” Super Deluxe” (Tamil). Krishnan says that he is grateful to the filmmakers of the South for giving him work in different films. He said, “I am glad that I got a chance to work in films like Kamal Haasan’s film ‘Panchantram’.
