The trailer of the film and its songs are already very much liked by the audience, it has passionate songs like ‘Wat Laga Denge’ and ‘I’m a Fighter’. Ahead of its release, Vijay indirectly confirmed that Liger 2 is on the cards. Speaking to BollywoodLife, Vijay said that Liger is likely to get a sequel. He said, “Yes, it is quite possible that it will happen.” However, Vijay refused to reveal any details about the plans for the proposed sequel.

Liger is a sports drama starring Vijay Deverakonda as a Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter. Ananya Panday, who was last seen in Deepika Padukone-led romantic drama ‘Gehraiyaan’, will make her Tollywood debut with this film. Liger also stars Ramya Krishnan, Ronit Roy and Makarand Deshpande in important roles. The iconic boxer Mike Tyson will be seen in a cameo role in the film. Liger is set to hit the screens on August 25.
