Akshay Kumar On Box Office Failure: Akshay Kumar has finally broken the silence about Bollywood films not working at the box office. At the trailer launch of his next film ‘Katputli’, the Bollywood superstar expressed concern over recent films not impressing the audience. Akshay admitted that everyone needs to understand what the audience is actually watching in the movies. He also said that no one else should be blamed for this.

Addressing the media at the trailer launch of Katputli, Akshay was asked about the poor performance of Bollywood films in recent times. The superstar said, “Films are not playing, it is our fault, my fault. I have to change, understand what the audience wants and no one else can be blamed for this.” On Saturday, Akshay launched the trailer of the thriller which also stars Rakul Preet Singh, Gurpreet Ghuggi, Sargun Mehta and Chandrachur Singh.
In the program, Akshay also danced ‘Katputli’ and left the media with scary acting. The film’s director Ranjit M Tiwari also revealed that the film is inspired from the south film Ratnasan. He said, “It is inspired by Ratnasan. It was never called Mission Cinderella, it was always called Kattpulatli. We shot in Mussoorie and UK.”

The trailer depicts the story of a small town in Kasauli where 3 murders have taken place and a serial killer is behind them. Akshay and his police team are openly searching for the killer. Rakul is also seen helping in this. The film is all set for direct release on OTT. It will premiere on Disney+Hotstar on September 2.
