In an exclusive interview with CRED, Chhote Deol candidly reveals why he loves playing negative characters.
He said, “I have just started doing negative roles and it is a lot of fun to play such roles. You have experienced a lot while preparing for these roles.” He said, “Everyone has a negative side that is always tried to control. When you are tired you try to be nice to others even when you are in a negative role but when you play a character in a negative role. So you enjoy showing those whimsical emotions that you can never portray in your personal life. That’s what’s so fun about being an actor. The last few movies I’ve done have been an amazing experience. With Love Hostel, it was really interesting to play a character that an actor gets to play only once in his life. As of now, I am enjoying this space of negative roles.”
Which genre would Bobby Deol prefer when given a chance- not to star in it but to binge!
This love for Gray may have stemmed from his choice of binge-worthy movies. “I love thrillers, suspense and gangster movies. Untouchables is a gangster movie that I absolutely love, and Sean Connery is one of my all-time favorite actors. While I can watch anything on television as long as it is enjoyable, if I had to choose something, I would go for a thriller or a murder mystery. ,
What is the secret behind the success of Bobby Deol?
With nearly three decades in the Bollywood industry, Bobby Deol has had his fair share of ups and downs, but the actor has risen like a phoenix from the ashes. He tells us what is driving him and you would never have guessed it correctly, this is humanity. When asked why he wants to transform into Denzel Washington, Bobby Deol says, “It’s his humanity that makes him such a good actor. Because what I believe in is my family and that’s how we look at life. Earlier I was just a fan of his acting but listening to him I found his personality amazing. His views on life and the difference between right and wrong is what makes him special to me.” He continued, “I thought he was awesome in training day. But then, he has been good in most of his films. Every time he is on screen, he grabs everyone’s attention. Man. I loved his performance in On Fire and I would have loved to remake it but Amit ji beat me!”
