On Rajesh Khanna’s Birth Anniversary, Daughter Twinkle Shares A Throwback Pic

The general purpose of actress-turned-writer Twinkle Khanna’s writings and social media posts has been wit and humour. But birthdays should be different. Twinkle, who turned 48 today, shared her birthday with her father, late actor Rajesh Khanna. She made the day more special with a black-and-white photo of the two of them that took us down memory lane. Twinkle wrote, “He always said I was the best gift he ever had for him, as I first stepped into the world on his birthday. A small star looking out at the biggest in the galaxy. It’s our day together Now and forever.”
Rajesh Khanna would have turned 79 on this day. In the photo, we see little Twinkle Khanna kissing her father on the cheek while Rajesh Khanna smiles like a doting father.

Celebrated designer Manish Malhotra, designer Farah Khan Ali and producer Ayesha Shroff wished Twinkle Khanna on her birthday. Twinkle also received a lot of love from her husband, actor Akshay Kumar, who shared a picture of the two swaying on a hammock. Akshay captioned the picture, “Easy to take the blues in my stride with you, with me… Happy Birthday Tina.”
He also added an emoji of the face while kissing. Happy birthday can’t be mushir, can it?

This birthday came with a surprise for the fans of Rajesh Khanna. The day brought us the news of the legendary actor’s biopic. Producer Nikhil Dwivedi announced a biopic titled Superstar. The film will be based on Gautam Chintamani’s bestseller book Dark Star: The Loneliness of Being Rajesh Khanna. The makers are in talks with filmmaker Farah Khan for the project.
Rajesh Khanna is known for his roles in films like Anand, Aradhana, Haathi Mere Saathi, Bawarchi and Amar Prem. He died in 2012 after a battle with cancer.
