Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan celebrated his 56th birthday on Tuesday, November 2 and fans made sure to flood him with wishes and messages. From images with King Khan (as he is popular among fans) to elaborate birthday notes on his charm and charisma, Shah Rukh Khan’s colleagues also spread love on the occasion. And, warm wishes from Shah Rukh Khan’s Dear Zindagi co-star, Alia Bhatt. On one particular day, Alia Bhatt even coined a new nickname to describe the superstar, calling him “possibly the king of all”. The actress penned the note with a throwback selfie of Shah Rukh Khan with a plethora of fans who had gathered outside her house Mannat.
“My favorite person. Not just the king of cinema. The king of goodness, possibly-the king of all,” Alia Bhatt began the note. She continued, “Happy birthday, SR. You are synonymous with love and will always be. Love is this. The greatest thing in the world. And so are you. I hope, wish and pray that you have good, loving days in your life forever and ever – because that’s all you give us. “

Alia Bhatt was not alone in penning a lovely note for the superstar. Director Hansal Mehta, who is known for his films Shahid, Aligarh and Omerta, shared why Shah Rukh Khan is his superstar “forever”. He said in a tweet, “Why Shahrukh is a superstar forever and why I love him. I have interacted with Shah Rukh thrice – once on Twitter and briefly at a party. Nice, polite and warm conversation. But the third conversation is why for me he will always be a true star…”
Elaborating further on the third conversation, Hansal Mehta said that the occasion came when he tweeted “seeking help for a child who was suffering from a tumor and needed immediate financial assistance for a life-saving surgery.”
The director had gone to Haryana for the morning shoot when he got three missed calls from an unknown number. She also got a message asking her to call back. He said that the calls and messages were from Shahrukh.
“I didn’t tell him why he wanted to talk to me. It was about the child. Whatever they need will be taken care of, he said. In less than a few hours, the hospital was contacted that the money had been transferred. Somebody has got a new life. Quietly, softly, without any fuss, one life was saved. A few months later it happened again. Another life was saved. Quietly and without any fuss or hype,” the director said.
“When I thanked him he said I have a lot and this is the least I can do. Shahrukh Khan, you are my star. Always. Happy birthday, Shahrukh,” said Hansal Mehta.
