The American fantasy drama television series, Game of Thrones, which was created by David Benioff and DB Weiss, has become a global phenomenon. The show brought the world together and they fell in love with a fantasy land. Even though the show is dark and gritty, it has some surprises that went unnoticed.

The American fantasy drama television series is also well known to fans of shocking and heavy casualties. However, this is also a show where the first season of the series has one hell of a dragon egg hidden in it. Former President George Bush made an appearance on the show and it’s not what you think.

To commemorate season one of Game of Thrones, in episode one, King Joffrey takes Sansa Stark to gaze upon the fangs of her dead father. In about 12 minutes, you’ll notice that one of those heads looks a little familiar. One of the many heads on the spike that adorns King’s Landing belonged to former President George Bush. It was discovered by Redditor SidIncognito.

The creators of the fantasy drama Game of Thrones, David Benioff and DB Weiss, also explained in their DVD commentary (from Season 1 Episode 10) that the head of the head is actually George Bush. As Gizmodo reports, the DVD commentary read, “The last head on the left is George Bush. George Bush’s head appears in two beheading scenes. It’s not a choice, it’s not a political statement. We have.” We just had to use whatever head was there.”

The report also added a statement from HBO that read, “We were very disappointed to see this and found it unacceptable, offensive and in very bad taste. We made this clear to the series’ executive producers, who immediately apologized for this unintentional carelessness. We are sorry that this happened and will be removed from any future DVD production.

David Benioff and DB Weiss later also released a statement saying, “What happened was this: We used a lot of prosthetic body parts in the show: heads, arms, etc. We can’t build all of these from scratch, special. Usually inside scenes where we need them a lot, so we rent them out in bulk. After the scene was already shot, someone pointed out that one of the heads looked like George W. Bush.

In the DVD commentary, we mentioned it, although we shouldn’t have done that. We didn’t mean to disrespect the former president and apologize if we said or suggested anything.
