Indian Idol 14 may have ended several weeks ago, but its contestants – winners, runners-up and all – are still grabbing headlines due to their meetups, posts and more. The reason why he is in news today is that Pawandeep Rajan has recorded his first song with co-contestants Arunita Kanjilal and Ashish Kulkarni.

As reported by Pinkvilla, the song was extensively recorded with Pavandeep Rajan’s Indian Idol 12 co-contestant Ashish Kulkarni. More than 70 musicians were part of the track being recorded at Yash Raj Studios. Talking about it, Ashish said, “It feels great to work with such senior musicians and veteran artistes. He played for us when we were a participant in Indian Idol and now we are getting a chance to work with him as a musician.”

On the other hand, Indian Idol 12 winner, Pawandeep Rajan, who himself plays a lot of instruments, was all praises for the musicians and was thrilled to record the song with his friend. “Today we had a recording of the strings section. Glad to see these great musicians play our songs here live,” he said.

Pawan also recorded a duet with Arunita Kanjilal, the first runner-up of Indian Idol 12. Talking about this, he said, “We have to listen to this song at least 10 times to know the instruments used in this song.” During this, Ashish also praised Pawandeep and Arunita. The singer added, “After Pawan and Arunita sing in the final vocals, the song will get that final touch and it will be perfect.”

Pavandeep Rajan also lauded his co-singers and said, “Arunita has sung very well and Ashish Da has composed the song in one go.” Producer-director Raj Surani was astonished to see the young talent. “I thought he is a seasoned musician and his composition will definitely bring back the raga that the song has today,” he added.
