Actor Chandan Roy Sanyal has started shooting for season 2 of Prakash Jha’s ‘Ashram’ in Jaipur. He will be in the Pink City for a one-month schedule.
In the first season of Prakash Jha-directed ‘Ashram’, Chandan played the role of ‘Bhopa Swami’, the right-hand man of a self-styled godman named ‘Baba Nirmal’ (played by Bobby Deol) from Kashipur, whose ashram is one for crimes. Front. In the crime series, Chandan is a mercenary who silences his opponents in a factual manner.
Chandan Roy Sanyal says: “‘Ashram’ was a turning point in my career path. It gave me a special identity as an actor. The production team is taking all the necessary precautions and creating content that people like while shooting. The love of the show is palpable. It is very exciting for me to be back in ‘Bhopa Swami’ as this season is all about new twists.
A few days back, actor Chandan Roy Sanyal turned nostalgic on the occasion of 12 years of his film ‘Kaminey’ and expressed his gratitude to director Vishal Bhardwaj.
Chandan played a character named ‘Mikhail’ in the action-drama helmed by Bharadwaj, which marked a milestone in his career.
Talking about the same, Chandan Roy Sanyal shared: “‘Kaminey’ has been a very special part of my life as films have been made for me. It reminds me of how the song (‘Dhan Te Naan’) is… Became so popular. It was great to be recognized for being in a movie.”
Apart from ‘Ashram 2’, Chandan’s upcoming projects include Vipul Shah’s ‘Sanak’ and some unannounced ventures.
