Actor Guneet Sharma, who is the latest entrant in the comedy television series ‘Tera Yaar Hoon Main’, has revealed that he is learning the necessary Haryanvi pronunciation for his character by watching Bollywood movies like ‘Sultan’ and ‘Dangal’.
Talking about the same, Guneet said: “Basically I am from Jalandhar, Punjab. So I can speak in Punjabi, Hindi and English language. The character Hooda demands a Haryanvi accent. So I tried to adopt that Haryanvi way of talking after watching films like Sultan and Dangal.
Throwing light on his character in ‘Tera Yaar Hoon Main’, Guneet Sharma said: “I am playing the role of a Haryanvi college boy named Hooda. He is a fun-loving boy. But at the same time he is always in college. I try to find reasons to fight, bully and tease my juniors.”
Guneet Sharma says that he takes inspiration from a real person to play this role.
Guneet said: “There is a boy named Sonu in my hometown society. His character is like Hooda. In fact, when I got to know about Hooda’s character, the immediate person that came to my mind was Sonu. I tried to imitate his style of talking and walking. “
Backed by Shashi Sumeet Productions, Tera Yaar Hoon Main airs on Sony SAB.
