Friends, fans and several members of the entertainment fraternity condoled the demise of TV heartthrob Sidharth Shukla in an online prayer meeting on Monday.
The prayer meeting held virtually from the late actor’s family home in Mumbai was led by the Brahmakumaris. Siddhartha, who was quite spiritually inclined, was a follower of the religious organization.
Sidharth Shukla often visited Brahma Kumaris Center and was last seen on the day of Raksha Bandhan. In an interview to the media, Tapaswiniji, a renowned teacher among the Brahma Kumaris, had then said: “He had come to our Vile Parle center and our Yoginiji had tied a rakhi to him.”
Siddharth Shukla’s mother Rita Shukla is also a follower of Brahma Kumaris. Monday’s online prayer meeting was led by Brahma Kumari Yogini Didi and Sister Shivani showered her blessings on the departed soul.
It was actor Karanvir Bohra who first shared the news about the prayer meeting: “Let’s all come together today at 5 PM and for our friend #SiddharthShukl his mother #RitaAunty and his sisters #Neetu and #Preeti and sister # Come for the special prayers and blessings organized by. shivanididi @brahmakumaris_bk #seeyouagain brother on the other side.”
With this announcement, RJ Pritam also took to social media. “Let’s pray together. Be a part of today’s session. Zoom meeting at 5 pm #sidharthshukla.”
A large number of fans reacted to the post with their prayers and emojis. “You will always be in our hearts” – this was the most common sentiment with heart emoji. Along with this, the hashtag #ShukriyaSidharth was also trending on Twitter.
